EUR/USD Edges Higher as Lagarde Speech Brings Inflation Focus
The EUR/USD pair has risen marginally from its six-week low on Friday, but remains confined within a specific range. The current price is quoted at 1.1523, up slightly compared to yesterday's levels.
The focus of the markets today lies in ECB President Christine Lagarde's speech, as investors seek signals regarding inflation outlook and the direction of monetary policy. This comes as Eurozone annual inflation accelerated to 3.2% in August 2026 from 2.8% in July, matching May's two-and-a-half-year high.
Meanwhile, risky assets have shown stability, with the DOW coming off its three-month low and treasury yields dropping to multi-year highs. On the NSE, EUR/INR futures are quoted at 110.33, up marginally on the day.
