EUR/USD Slumps Below 1.1450 on Hawkish Fed, German Election Risks
The EUR/USD pair weakened on Wednesday to near 1.1445 during Asian trading hours due to hawkish signals from the US Federal Reserve (Fed) and rising political risks in Germany.
Boston Fed President Susan Collins stated that she supported the recent interest rate hike, citing an increased likelihood of inflation remaining above 2%.
This hawkish stance contributed to a strengthened US Dollar against the Euro, with traders pricing in nearly a 89.2% chance of another rate increase by December.
