Euro Area Annual Inflation Hits 3.8% in September
Annual inflation in the euro area accelerated to 3.8% in September, up from 3.2% in August, according to a flash estimate from Eurostat.
The highest annual rate among main inflation components was recorded by energy at 18.8%, surpassing its previous peak of 14.3% in August.
Among euro area economies, Lithuania posted the highest annual inflation rate at 6.1%, followed by Bulgaria and Cyprus, both at 5.2%, while Malta logged the lowest at 2.4%
