The Euro area's annual inflation rate is expected to reach 2.9% in July 2026, according to a flash estimate from the European Union's statistical office.

This marks an increase from June's rate of 2.8%, and represents a key indicator for textile, apparel, and retail supply-chain planning in the region.

The main components of euro area inflation show varying rates: energy is expected to reach 10.0% in July, up from 8.5% in June; services are expected at 3.3%, an increase from 3.2%; and non-energy industrial goods are expected at 0.9%, compared to 0.7% in June.

The flash estimate measures annual inflation as the price change of consumer goods and services between the current month and the same month of the previous year, while monthly inflation is defined as the price change between the current month and the previous month.
