The European Central Bank (ECB) has released its latest survey on consumer price expectations in the euro area, showing a significant decline in June. According to the ECB's monthly survey, consumers' inflation expectations for the next year fell to 3% from 3.5% in May.

This drop in expectations comes before the recent oil price spike triggered by tensions in the Middle East. The three-year gauge, which is a key indicator for monetary policy decisions, also declined to 2.8% from 2.9% in May.
