Euro Area Current Account Surplus Falls to $32.2 Billion in July
The Euro area's current account surplus declined to $32.2 billion in July from $40.2 billion in June, according to data from the European Central Bank (ECB).
This decrease was largely due to a decline in goods surplus, which fell to €289 billion from €341 billion over the 12 months to July.
The Euro area's current account surplus for the 12 months to July was $324.1 billion, or 1.7 per cent of GDP, down from 1.9 per cent a year earlier.
