Euro Crashes to 16-Month Low Amid Fed Rate Hike Expectations
The euro has fallen to its weakest level in 16 months, plummeting as much as 0.5% to $1.1312 on Tuesday.
This decline marks the lowest point for the common currency since May 2025 and sets it up for its worst monthly performance since July 2025.
The downward trend is largely attributed to expectations that the Federal Reserve will further boost interest rates, supporting the US dollar in the process.
