Euro Gains Against Yen Amid JPY Underperformance Post-BoJ Hike

The Euro (EUR) has risen by 0.2% against the Japanese Yen (JPY) to around 180.78 during Tuesday's European trading session.

This gain comes as the JPY underperforms its currency peers after the Bank of Japan's (BoJ) recent monetary policy announcement last week.

In that meeting, the BoJ decided to hike interest rates by 25 basis points (bps) to 1.25%, the highest figure seen in 31 years.

Two BoJ board members, Toichiro Asada and Ayano Sato, opposed this decision.
