Euro-Naira Rate Consolidates Near Key Support Level

The Euro to Nigerian Naira (EUR/NGN) exchange rate has been trading at NGN1,496, showing a modest daily decline. This comes after a narrowing gap between official and parallel market euro-naira rates, indicating improved foreign exchange liquidity and rising reserves in Nigeria.

This is according to the Traders Union analysis, which notes that black market EUR/NGN rates fell slightly as of September 30, 2026. The decrease in black market rates suggests reduced transactional pressure and more efficient currency allocation.

The EUR/NGN pair is currently trading below its key moving averages, with bearish signals from most momentum indicators. This suggests that the pair is likely to hold between NGN1,488 and NGN1,503 over the next 2-3 days, with a 74% probability of a downward scenario.
