Euro Rallies Against Dollar as Warsh's Inflation Warning Suggests Rate Hikes Ahead
The Euro has seen a 0.15% gain against the US Dollar (USD) during European trading hours on Monday, reaching near 1.1600.
This increase comes after a strong Friday for the US Dollar following comments from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at the Jackson Hole Symposium warning of upside inflation risks.
Rabobank analysts note that Warsh 'appeared to rebuild some of his credibility as an inflation fighter' in his speech, stressing that the central bank still has 'work to do' to return inflation to its 2% target.
