The beauty industry experienced significant trends this summer, and fragrance stood out as a major growth driver. At The Estée Lauder Companies, fragrance saw a 10% organic increase in the fourth quarter, thanks to strong performances from Le Labo and Tom Ford. This helped drive overall sales up by 3% for the full fiscal year.

However, not all companies fared as well. Interparfums SA reported a decline of -7.3% due to adverse currency effects, weaker demand in Europe and Asia, and its significant exposure to North America. In contrast, its mother company, Interparfums Inc., saw 2% revenue growth in the first six months.

The summer also saw an increase in immersive fragrance experiences, such as ScentFest SF, which highlighted consumers' growing interest in community-driven events. This trend is set to continue at the upcoming Fragrance Innovation Summit in Paris, where innovation and customer acquisition will be top priorities.
