Euro Reaches Two-Week High Against Albanian Lek
The Euro-Lek exchange rate has ended the week on an upward trend, reaching its highest level in two weeks. The Euro was exchanged for 91.97 Lekë on Friday, a gain of approximately 0.5 Lekë compared to Thursday.
This increase is attributed to specific operations involving large purchases of currency, which can cause short-term fluctuations in the exchange rate. Market agents note that these spikes are typically temporary and do not reflect long-term demand.
The Euro has continued its downward trend against the Lek throughout 2026, with a significant decline in the exchange rate this month. The annual drop is nearing the maximum level of 6%, surpassing last year's pace.
