Euro Soars to New High Against Romanian Lei

The euro rose to its highest value in nearly a decade on Friday, reaching an exchange rate of 5.3447 lei. This increase marks a 1.27 percent rise from Thursday's announced rate of 5.2777 lei per euro.

The National Bank of Romania (NBR) determines these exchange rates based on quotations from banks authorized to operate in the foreign exchange market, but these rates do not mandate adherence by banks and currency exchange offices in actual transactions.
