Euro Speculators Reduce Net Short Position Amid Market Shift
Large currency speculators have significantly reduced their net short position in the Euro futures market. According to the latest Commitment of Traders (COT) data from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), non-commercial futures contracts of Euro futures, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net short position of 26,993 contracts as of September 15, 2026. This represents a weekly reduction of 15,623 net positions.
The COT data shows that large currency speculators have been decreasing their short positions in the Euro futures market over the past few weeks. This could indicate a shift in market sentiment and potentially impact future price movements.
