The euro has been trading near two-month highs at around $1.15 in August, as market participants assess shifting developments in the Middle East and conflicting signals over a potential US-Iran deal.

These tensions have led to an increase in oil prices, which is contributing to higher inflation expectations in Europe.

Market-based measures of Euro Area inflation over the next year are currently around 2.4%, surpassing the European Central Bank's (ECB) target of 2%.

In July, Eurozone inflation edged up to 2.9%.
