The Euro surged past 1.1500 against the US Dollar on August 3, 2026, reaching its highest level since mid-June during Asian trading hours.

A broad selloff in the US Dollar drove this move, with spot prices extending gains for a fifth consecutive session and pushing above the 1.1460-1.1470 resistance barrier.

The EUR/USD currency pair hit a peak near 1.1547 after recovering from July lows around 1.1354, despite remaining down 1.7% since the start of 2026.

Danske Bank attributed this movement to the drop in US real yields following the latest Federal Reserve meeting, saying that lower inflation-adjusted yields reduced support for the Greenback across major currency pairs.
