The development of artificial intelligence has finally sparked a long-overdue debate about its risks and benefits. The pioneers of AI, who have harnessed its potential, are now sharing concerns about the technology's implications.

This conversation is crucial for Europe, which seems to be lagging behind in AI development. According to European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde, the EU trails significantly in constructing data centers and has only produced two significant AI models last year, compared to 59 by the US and 35 by China.

Furthermore, Lagarde pointed out that the US possesses 75% of the global computing power for artificial intelligence, while the EU accounts for just 5%. This gap in technological capabilities raises concerns about the EU's ability to maintain control over AI development and implementation.
