Europe Stocks Rebound Ahead of Key Economic Data
European stock markets saw a rebound on Friday, following a sharp selloff driven by a bond market rout. The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 0.9% to 632.77 points by 0835 GMT.
The index had closed 1.3% lower on Thursday, reaching its lowest level in over three months as global government bond yields hit multi-year highs.
Investors are now awaiting euro zone flash inflation data due later in the day, which could provide clues about the European Central Bank's monetary policy plans.
Ricardo Castillo, head of investments at Mirabaud Group, said 'the broad economy looks okay... on the other side, the energy, the diesel impact on the economy can still be harder than what it is right now.'
