European Markets Steady as BOE Decision Looms
European markets are trading in positive territory ahead of the Bank of England's interest rate decision. The UKX index is up 0.83%, with investors focused on the BOE's move following the Federal Reserve's hike the previous day.
The British pound has fallen to its weakest level since late July, trading around $1.34. Germany's DAX and France's CAC are also up, by 0.78% and 0.53%, respectively.
Meanwhile, Austria's annual inflation rate rose to 3.2% in August, while Switzerland's trade surplus narrowed to CHF 5.6B in the same month.
