European equity markets are expected to open higher on Thursday following subdued US inflation data that reduced expectations for a Federal Reserve interest rate hike in September.

The UK economy expanded 0.4% quarter-on-quarter in the three months to June, slowing from 0.5% growth in Q1 but matching market expectations.

Investors are also awaiting Eurozone industrial production data for June and Spain's final inflation figures for July.

Danish shipping giant Maersk has raised its full-year underlying Ebitda guidance to a level above analyst expectations, while other European companies scheduled to report earnings include E.On, RWE, Antofagasta, Birkenstock, and Nomad Foods.
