Eurozone Current Account Surplus Narrows to €27.6 Billion in July

The Eurozone's current account surplus narrowed in July to €27.6 billion from €35.1 billion in the previous month, according to data released by the European Central Bank.

This represents a 21% decrease from the previous month and amounts to 1.7% of euro area GDP for the 12 months to July, down from 1.9% one year earlier.

The data shows that while the Eurozone's current account surplus is still significant, it has been steadily decreasing over the past year.
