Eurozone Economy Hits Highest Growth Since April 2023 Amid Inflation Concerns
The eurozone economy has experienced its highest growth rate since April 2023, according to the seasonally adjusted S&P Global Flash Eurozone Composite PMI Output Index. The index rose to 53.1 in September from 52.0 in August, indicating solid growth across both manufacturing and services sectors.
The increase was driven by expansion in Germany for the third month running, with the rate of growth being the fastest in almost a year. France also saw activity increase for the first time in 10 months.
However, the rise in eurozone inflationary pressures is expected due to increased energy prices resulting from the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
