Eurozone Industrial Production Beats Forecasts with Modest Rise
According to data released by Eurostat, industrial production in the Eurozone rose 0.1% year-on-year in June, beating market forecasts of a 0.8% decline.
This unexpected uptick signals a degree of resilience in the bloc's manufacturing sector, despite high energy costs and subdued global demand.
The month-on-month increase of 0.5% also exceeded expectations of a 0.3% rise, with capital goods and intermediate goods leading the recovery.
Germany and Italy posted stronger-than-expected output, while France lagged behind, reflecting divergent industrial trajectories across the currency bloc.
