Eurozone Inflation Accelerates to 3.8%
The Eurozone saw its annual inflation rate jump to 3.8% in September, exceeding market expectations of 3.6%. This marks a significant increase from August's 3.2%, according to preliminary estimates.
Core inflation, which excludes energy and food prices, rose to 2.5% from 2.4%, aligning with forecasts. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the Euro Area increased to 104.30 points in September from 103.69 points in August.
The acceleration in inflation has raised concerns about the economic health of the region. However, it's essential to note that core inflation remains relatively stable, suggesting some resilience within the economy.
