Eurozone Inflation Surges to 3.8% Amid Soaring Energy Costs
Inflation in the eurozone has accelerated to 3.8 per cent in September, according to an initial estimate from Eurostat.
This marks a significant increase from August's rate of 3.2 per cent and nearly doubles the European Central Bank (ECB) target.
The inflation rate for energy goods reached a staggering 18.8 per cent, highlighting the impact of rising energy costs on consumers.
In Belgium specifically, inflation was estimated at 4.6 per cent last month, up 0.4 percentage points from August.
