Eurozone Inflation Unchanged as BoE Holds Rates Steady
The final Eurozone CPI data was released on September 17th, showing inflation rates unchanged from previous readings. The annual rate of 3.3% and monthly rate of 0.4% matched expectations, while core CPI inflation remained steady at 2.4%. Olli Rehn, an ECB speaker, will address investors at 12:00.
The Bank of England's interest rate decision was also on the agenda, with a unanimous vote to maintain the current rate of 3.75%.
US jobless claims came in slightly higher than forecasted, but other economic indicators, such as housing starts and building permits, were near expectations.
