Eurzone Inflation Hits 3.8% Amid Rising Energy Prices
The eurozone's annual inflation rate accelerated to 3.8% in September, up from 3.2% in August.
This is according to a preliminary estimate from Eurostat, which also shows that energy prices rose by 18.8% year-over-year last month, compared to 14.3% in August.
Among the region's largest economies, inflation rates stood at 3.3% in Germany, 3.4% in France, 4.1% in Italy, and 5% in Spain.
