Fed Hike Fails to Quell Inflation Worries as Stock Futures Edge Higher
US stock futures rose modestly on Friday morning as investors weighed the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike against lingering concerns over inflation.
The Fed increased rates by 25 basis points, but its impact is being questioned, with JPMorgan chief Jamie Dimon warning that 'it's not clear to me we've slayed inflation.'
Despite this, futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.1%, the S&P 500 added 0.2%, and the Nasdaq-100 climbed 0.4%.
The gains follow a rebound on Thursday, when tech stocks, softer oil prices, and lower bond yields helped markets look past the Fed's expected rate hike.
