Fed Hikes Interest Rate Amid Synchronized Central Bank Moves
The Federal Reserve has raised its interest rate to 3.75-4.00%, marking its first increase since 2023 and its first move of any kind since December 2025.
This move comes just six days after the European Central Bank (ECB) raised its deposit rate by a quarter-point to 2.50%.
The vote was unanimous at 12-0, with no indication from the Fed as to what comes next in terms of future interest rate decisions.
