Inflation has been above the central bank's 2% target for over five years, with several factors contributing to the issue. President Donald Trump's tariffs on foreign goods have added to inflation pressures, while the recent Iran conflict has driven up energy prices.

Fed Chair Kevin Warsh emphasized that there is no 'magic wand' to instantly combat inflation and called for a 'good family fight' during committee deliberations.
