The Federal Reserve held interest rates steady at 3.50%-3.75% in its July FOMC meeting, marking a 9-3 vote among committee members.

Fed Governor Kevin Warsh highlighted price stability as the primary policy focus, rather than adhering to a specific rate path.

Warsh also emphasized the remarkable growth of AI-related capital expenditures (CapEx), which saw nearly 20% four-quarter growth and sustained manufacturing output. However, he cautioned that predicting supply-side effects remains challenging due to the timing and scale.

The Fed's monetary policy aims to work through multiple channels, including lending, credit, confidence, foreign-exchange rates, signaling, and portfolio balance.
