Fed Rate Hike Boosts US Stocks Amid Oil Price Dip

The US stock market experienced its best day in six weeks after falling oil prices and easing pressure from the bond market helped Wall Street reverse many of its previous day's moves.

Stocks were boosted by a drop in Brent crude oil prices, which fell to $104.82 per barrel. This decline was attributed to concerns over the ongoing war with Iran and its impact on global oil supplies.

The Federal Reserve's decision to raise short-term interest rates by a quarter of a percentage point also contributed to the market's rally. While higher interest rates can be detrimental to stocks, this move was seen as a sign that the Fed is committed to controlling inflation.
