Fed Rates Hike May Not Be One and Done

The Federal Reserve is poised to raise interest rates next week, but experts warn that this may not be a one-time move.

Richard Clarida, former Fed vice chair and now at Pimco, believes that if the Fed raises rates, it will likely do so again, as 'certainly we'll get additional ones'.

The decision to raise rates has been a close call for the Fed, with some officials arguing that even a quarter-point increase may not be enough to bring inflation down to 2%.

Fed Governor Christopher Waller suggested that raising rates by a quarter point at one meeting versus another won't make a significant difference in bringing inflation down.
