The Opportunity & Inclusive Growth Institute at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is inviting applications for long-term visiting scholar positions for the 2027−2028 academic year. Selected scholars will spend between nine to 12 months in residence at the Minneapolis Fed, beginning either in summer or fall 2027.
Visiting scholars will conduct independent research, contribute to the Institute's research activities, and participate in relevant Federal Reserve Bank initiatives. The role offers competitive compensation and dedicated office space at the Minneapolis Fed.
To qualify, applicants must hold a Ph.D. in economics or a related field such as public policy and be employed by an academic or research institution. Interested candidates should submit an expression of interest, including a CV, availability dates, and a brief research statement.
Submissions will be reviewed starting mid-November. Access to confidential supervisory information and Federal Open Market Committee information is restricted to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, and certain other eligible individuals.
