The Federal Reserve has kept interest rates steady, but small businesses are still paying a high price for elevated borrowing costs. According to Alfredo Ortiz, CEO of Job Creators Network, this means fewer expansion opportunities and greater difficulty hiring workers.

Ortiz argues that lower interest rates would allow more small businesses to take advantage of historic Republican tax cuts and boost economic growth and real wages. He believes the recent decline in energy costs and inflationary pressures will give the Federal Reserve room to lower interest rates in the coming months.
