Fed's Inflation Victory Unconfirmed Amid Oil Price Concerns
Despite recent economic growth and a strong job market, some financial analysts are questioning whether the Federal Reserve has truly defeated inflation.
Economist Steve Moore expressed skepticism about declaring victory over inflation, suggesting that the American public may not agree with this assessment.
Moore pointed out that the key to predicting future interest rate hikes lies in oil prices, specifically the price of a barrel of oil. He believes that if oil prices return below $90 per barrel, there may be no need for further interest rate increases.
Other experts also anticipate at least one more interest rate hike before the end of the year, based on current trends and projections.
