Fnality Names Key Ex-Central Bankers to UK and EU Subsidiaries Amid US Expansion
Fnality, a company that enables wholesale DLT settlement using tokenized central bank money, has announced key appointments to its UK and European subsidiaries. The move comes as Fnality's US subsidiary awaits an extension on its state-chartered innovation bank status.
The appointments include Sir Jon Cunliffe, former Deputy Governor for Financial Stability at the Bank of England, who becomes Chair of Fnality UK. Cunliffe joins a newly formed supervisory board at Fnality Europe, alongside Jochen Metzger and Ron Berndsen, both with extensive experience in European banking.
Fnality's strategy is to provide wholesale settlement in multiple currencies, enabling institutions to make payments and move money around the world 24/7. The company has already launched its £FnPS offering in the UK, which has only publicly onboarded four banks since its launch.
The US leg of Fnality is led by existing leadership, including Michelle Neal, Group CEO, who worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York before joining Fnality.
