Foodstuffs Keeps Food Prices in Check Despite Global Pressures

Foodstuffs NZ's August grocery numbers show annual food price inflation was 1.5 percent, below Stats NZ's rate of 1.9 percent.

This is a positive trend for the co-op behind New World, PAK'nSAVE, and Four Square supermarkets in New Zealand.

According to Managing Director Chris Quin, despite increased fuel costs and supply chain pressures due to the Middle East conflict, customers are seeing good value in popular staples such as lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, eggs, olive oil, pork, and chicken.
