France's Inflation Rate Surges to Two-Year High
French inflation accelerated to its fastest pace in over two years, putting pressure on the European Central Bank to continue raising interest rates.
In September, the inflation rate in France stood at 3.4%, up from 2.6% in August, according to statistics agency Insee.
This increase exceeds the estimated 3.2% predicted by a Bloomberg survey of analysts.
