FTSE 100 Rises 0.3369 Percent as London Leads European Markets Higher
The FTSE 100 index closed higher on Wednesday, rising by 36.65 points to finish at 10916.03.
This represents a 0.3369 percent increase from its previous close of 10879.38.
The London Stock Exchange's main index outperformed other European markets, with Frankfurt finishing essentially flat and the IMF upgrading its UK growth forecast providing support for domestic buyers.
However, market participants are still awaiting the Bank of England's next interest rate decision, which is seen as a key hurdle ahead.
