FTSE 100 Rises on Fed Decision Day, Barratt Redrow Leads Corporate Updates

The FTSE 100 opened higher on September 16th, climbing 0.38% to 10,697.83 as investors awaited the Federal Reserve's interest-rate decision.

Eurozone markets also rose, with the Euronext 100 increasing by 0.57% to 1,887.39 and Germany's DAX gaining 0.37% to 25,497.25.

However, US markets were less buoyant, with the Nasdaq falling to 25,981.57 and the S&P 500 declining to 7,585.73 due to trader caution ahead of the Fed announcement.

Barratt Redrow (LSE: BTRW) stood out among corporate updates, reporting a 6.6% increase in FY26 revenue to £6.06 billion and a 5% rise in home completions to 17,667 over the period.
