GBP Falls on Weak UK Employment Data Amid Rising Middle East Tensions
The British Pound (GBP) is under pressure as it trades lower against the US Dollar (USD), down 0.1% to near 1.3530 during the European trading session on Tuesday.
This decline follows the release of the UK employment data for three months ending June, which failed to convince investors in an already risk-off market.
The geopolitical tensions in the Middle East are also contributing to the Pound's weakness as it steadies against the US Dollar, despite a weak US Industrial Production deceleration and soft US housing data.
