GBP Holds Steady Ahead of UK Retail Sales Data Release
The British Pound (GBP) has maintained its steady pace above $1.3350 as traders continue to assess the impact of recent interest rate decisions from major central banks.
The Bank of England's (BoE) Monetary Policy Committee voted 6-3 to keep the Bank Rate at 3.75% on Thursday, despite inflation exceeding its 2% target.
However, policymakers warned that a hike was becoming increasingly likely, with three dissenting members voting for a 25 basis point increase to 4.0%
The UK's August Retail Sales data will be released later today, which could provide further insights into the country's economic performance and potential impact on the Pound.
