GBP Soars on Inflation Miss, But PMI Data May Halt Gains
The Pound-Dollar exchange rate surged on Wednesday after a disappointing US inflation reading.
The UK's own GDP figures for Q2 also exceeded initial estimates, with quarterly growth revised up to 0.5% from 0.4%.
This has led some investors to speculate that the Bank of England may restart its hiking cycle following its November policy meeting.
However, Thursday's US manufacturing PMI could offer fresh support to the Greenback, potentially limiting Pound gains.
