Ghana Cedi Depreciates Against Major Currencies on September 16
The Ghanaian cedi experienced a slight depreciation against major currencies on September 16, according to the latest foreign exchange rates from the Bank of Ghana (BoG).
The US dollar saw the biggest movement, with its selling rate increasing to GH¢11.4881, up from GH¢11.4672 in the previous rate, representing a 0.18% rise.
The pound sterling and euro also gained against the cedi, with their selling rates rising to GH¢15.4826 and GH¢13.2590, respectively.
The BoG's daily reference rates are calculated using foreign exchange transaction data submitted by banks, and serve as a guide for individual transactions.
