Ghana Cedi Weakens Against Major Currencies Amid New Bank of Ghana Rates

The Ghanaian cedi has weakened against major currencies including the US dollar, British pound, and euro, according to the latest Bank of Ghana exchange rates for September 22.

The dollar is now selling at GH¢11.5558, up from GH¢11.5258 previously, while the pound sterling is buying at GH¢15.4381 and selling at GH¢15.4547.

The euro's buying rate has increased by GH¢0.0210, with a selling rate of GH¢0.0222.

This movement could lead to higher costs for imported goods and services, as well as more expensive foreign currency payments and international travel.
