Ghana Cedi Weakens Further Against Dollar, Pound, Euro

The Ghanaian cedi continued its downward trend against major currencies on August 26, according to the Bank of Ghana's latest exchange rates.

The dollar rose to GH¢11.1714, while the pound sterling and euro reached GH¢15.2356 and GH¢13.0397 respectively, compared to Tuesday's rates.

This represents a further depreciation of the cedi across all three major currencies, with the dollar increasing by 0.47% in value against the local currency.

The pound sterling recorded a slightly larger movement, rising by GH¢0.0765 on both buying and selling rates, equivalent to about 0.50%, while the euro strengthened against the cedi by roughly 0.51% and 0.50% respectively.
