The Ghanaian Cedi has experienced fluctuations in value against major currencies on Monday, August 31, 2026. Compared to the previous day, it recorded an average buying rate of GHS11.47 and a selling rate of GHS11.92.
At forex bureaus, the Cedi is trading at GHS11.75 for dollar purchases and GHS12.20 for dollar sales. This represents a depreciation of two pesewas against the US dollar compared to the previous day's rates.
The Bank of Ghana interbank market shows a slightly different picture, with the cedi trading at GHS11.24 for buying and GHS11.26 on the selling rates. The British pound is also trading at GHS15.19 for buying and GHS16.23 for selling, while the Euro is trading at GHS13.01 for buying and GHS13.94 for selling.
For money transfer services, LemFi and Taptap Send are offering dollar rates of GHS11.25 each for remittances from the US or UK to Ghana. The British pound is quoted at GHS15.27 each for remittances from the same regions, while the Euro is quoted at GHS13.07 each.
