Private investment is also playing a crucial role, with capital flows estimated between $11 billion USD and $13 billion USD in 2025. However, this rapid growth introduces serious sustainability challenges, including space debris risks that expose nearly $200 billion of economic activity.
The report highlights the importance of smart regulations and targeted support for innovation to make the sector safer and more attractive. For Canada, this means addressing vulnerabilities such as relying on exports to the United States, which account for 68% of all foreign sales.
