Gold prices climbed on Friday, benefiting from a weaker US dollar and a decline in Treasury yields. The softer dollar made bullion more attractive to international buyers, while lower yields reduced the opportunity cost of holding non-interest-bearing assets like gold.
Spot gold rose by 0.9%, reaching $4,169.32 per ounce by 0137 GMT. This followed a two-month low hit on Wednesday. US gold futures also gained 0.9%, trading at $4,194.40.
The market remained focused on lingering inflation concerns and the Federal Reserve's interest rate outlook. Investors are closely watching for any signals that could influence future monetary policy decisions.
